Our overview

PNW HOOPS mission is to produce the nation’s best student athletes. Provide an opportunity for student athletes of all ethnicities to join together and build lifelong relationships that will extend long after they finish playing basketball.  PNW HOOPS is dedicated to helping student athletes learn the importance of having an exceptional work ethic and a positive attitude on and off the court.  These building blocks will help them build a solid foundation necessary to have successful lives.

Fred Brown Jr. Fred is responsible for developing a national grassroots database and relationship with talented student athletes from across the country. Fred's basketball network extends all over the United States and Canada. Fred Brown Jr. was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He attended prestigious Mercer Island High School, where he graduated in 1992 with many accomplishments. Brown was a three time All-League selection, a two time All-State basketball player, and he made the Seattle Times All-State basketball team that featured the top 5 boys & girls of Washington state in the class of 1992. His senior year he led his team to a third place finish pouring in an astounding 45 points. After a phenomenal high school career Brown signed a letter of intent to accept a basketball scholarship at the University of Iowa, where his famous father Fred Brown Sr. played, ”Downtown Fred Brown,“ of the 1979 Seattle Super Sonics Championship team.

Brown has been coaching high school basketball for fifteen years. Coach Brown was an Assistant Varsity coach for Mercer Island's 2000-2001 team that won a Kingco Championship and finished 3rd in State. With Coach Brown's help the next year, the 2001-2002 team finished with a Kingco Championship and a 2nd Place finish at state, losing in the state championship game to powerhouse Rainier Beach High School. Coach Brown also spent 2 seasons as the Head Varsity basketball coach at Eastside Catholic High School. In 2001, Fred co-founded the True Players Club. An AAU program dedicated to providing student athletes an opportunity to showcase their talents to college coaches at NCAA certified events. True Players Club is now a division of PNW HOOPS. Fred is currently a NCAA certified coach and is the "guru" of player development and the recruitment of talented players. Brown believes... ”Opportunities do not Go Away, They Go To Someone Else!“ - Fred Brown Jr.
